Amit Shah Criticized Arvind Kejriwal’s Interim Bail:

The day after Amit Shah questioned the interim bail given to Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case connected to the excise policy scam, the Supreme Court clarified that it didn’t make any exceptions for anyone and made it clear when the Delhi chief minister has to surrender. The Supreme Court also mentioned that it welcomes criticism of the verdict. The Supreme Court stated, we welcome criticism of the verdict. Our order is clear on when he has to surrender. It’s an order of the apex court, and the rule of law will be governed by this. We didn’t make an exception for anybody.”

Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta declined the arguments

A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta declined to consider arguments from both the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Arvind Kejriwal’s advocates regarding statements related to the interim bail granted to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor. On May 10, the Supreme Court gave Arvind Kejriwal temporary bail until June 1 in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. He must surrender on June 2. However, he is not allowed to go to his office or the Delhi secretariat and sign official documents unless it’s absolutely necessary for getting approval from the lieutenant governor.

A day ago, Amit Shah criticized Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail, saying it wasn’t a normal decision. In an interview with ANI, he said, “The Supreme Court has the right to interpret the law, and I believe this decision is not routine. Many people in the country think that special treatment has been given. “When asked about Kejriwal’s campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, the home minister made a sarcastic remark, saying Kejriwal is currently dealing with another issue (the alleged Swati Maliwan assault case). “Right now, he is dealing with another issue, let him resolve that first, then we’ll see what happens,” Amit Shah said.
