Selection Process
The mode of selection for SAIL Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – (OCTT) Recruitment 2024 includes the stages listed below:
- Computer-Based Test – The computer-Based Test (CBT) will consist of 100 Objective-type questions from two sections i.e. 50 questions to be asked from Domain Knowledge & 50 on Aptitude Test. The duration of the CBT would be 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks in the CBT will be determined based on the 50-percentile score for UR/EWS posts & 40 percentiles for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwBDs posts. The qualifying marks will be calculated separately for each post/discipline.
- Certificate Verification – After the computer-based test, the qualified candidates will be called for certificate verification to verify their documents by the authorities to appoint them for the position.

- For SC/ ST/ PwBD/ ESM/ Departmental candidates: Rs.200/-
