Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2024 was launched by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi on 1 May 2016. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is operating this scheme. Through PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), LPG connections are provided to all the poor families and ration card-holding women of the country, so that women can get rid of wood and coal stoves and the environment can be made pollution-free. Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana: Eligibility Criteria
eligibility criteria for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana have been described by the government. If you want to take the benefits of this scheme then you will have to conform to these eligibility criteria which are as follows –
- Only women are eligible to apply for Ujjwala scheme.
- The age of applicant women should be minimum 18 years.

Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 August 2021 in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. - Under this scheme, now free LPG gas connections will be provided to all the beneficiaries women of the country.
- Now women will get rid of cooking with smoke and it will be easy for them to cook.
- Additional allocation of 1.6 crore LPG connections will be made under PM Ujjwala Yojana 2.0.

How to Apply
To apply for PM Ujjawala Yojana Online, you will have to follow the process given below –
- First of all, go to the official website of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Now its home page will open.
- On the home page of this website, you will have to click on Apply for New Ujjawala 2.0 Connection.
- As soon as you click, three agencies will appear in front of you.

- Select the company in which you want to get your gas connection.

- After selection, you will reach the website of Bharat Gas.
- Here you have to select Ujjawala 2.0 New Connection in the Type of Connection.
- After this tick, I Hear by Declare.
- Now you have to select your state and district and click on Show List.
- After clicking, the list of all the distributors in your district will open.
- Here you have to select your nearest distributor. After this, you have to click on the Continue button.
- After doing this, a new page will open in front of you. You have to enter the mobile number and captcha code and submit it.
- After this, an application form will open before you apply for a new gas connection.
- You have to fill in all the information asked in this form carefully. Along with this, upload all the required documents.
- After doing this you have to submit this form.
- Now you will have the option to print the form. You should take a printout of this form and attach all the uploaded documents with this form.
- Now go and submit this form to the gas agency. After this, the gas connection will be provided to you by the gas agency.
